Tokyo Summerland

Tokyo Summerland is a theme park located in Akiruno City. It is a huge water park with 19 kinds of pools, an indoor pool, an amusement park, 8 water slides and 16 ride. Today I'm going to focus on the amusement park zone which is called Thrill Mountain. Of course, the main facility of Summer Land main is the massive huge pool but there's an amusement park too. There are 16 attractions in the amusement park, so it is enough to play for 2 to 3 hours after the pool. When I went there in 2019, the amusement park area was deserted because there were not many people and there was no sign of installing new attractions. There used to be a lot of thrill machines, but now it's mainly rides for children and for families. The thrill rides are Tornado, Love Express, and a pirate ship called Super Boundy. In the past there used to be a lot of fun thrill ride such as Hayabusa (suspended coaster), Fujin(Bungee Jump), Flying Carpet, Looping Star Ship, Free Fall, Indoor coaster and so on. They used to have good attractions, but now its mainly to families. They can't install a new attraction because not many visitors come to the amusement park. The newest ride-type attraction is Funcopter, which opened in 2013, so they haven't had a new attraction for seven years. The pool, which is the main facility has no new attractions for six years, and various facilities such as summer bowl, tennis courts, sports courts, and summerland lodge (Hotel) have been closed one after another for the last few years, and I am worried about future management.

Tornado

It is the only roller coaster in Summerland because Hayabusa is gone. It's a small coaster but it has a 360˚ loop, a drop and a horizontal loop. The total length is 370m and short but I think it's just the right size coaster because there were lots of family and small kids. I like this attraction the best at summer land. This coaster is made in a very small space. When you are riding it your neck will be hurt. The first drop will drop when turning and I love the first drop. It will run between trees so you will think that you're in a forest and you can almost touch the trees. Its a very fun and a well done coaster but it will end in a minute and half. Its a thrilling and a fun coaster but so short.

Free Fall

It is summer lands most scary attraction. It will goes up to 40m and drops. When it drops you will feel like you're flying. I like this attraction because its very thrilling.

Fun Copter

Its a ride that goes up to 8.5m and spins on the top. You can spin it by your self. There's the same ride in Kokuei Hitachi Park. There used to be the flying carpet here.

Kaizoku maze Pirates Adventure

Its the newest attraction in Tokyo Summer Land. It's a 3 dimensional maze. It was made in 2019. It's a smaller maze than normal 3 dimensional maze. Some people say it was transfered from Asakusa Hanyashiki. The 3 dimensional maze in Hanayashiki closed in 2017 January so it might be from Asakusa Hanayashiki. You have to pay extra money to do this so it was not popular.

Randurs Cup(ランダーズカップ）

You can pull the lever to go up and down. You can shoot other cups and you can get them down. Its a shooting game on the top. You can go up to 6m. The ride spins too.

Love Express

Its a ride that spins so fast. Then after that the sheets will be over the ride and it will be dark. You can enjoy a very strange experience.

Haunted House

It was small so I didn't go in but it didn't look scary. You can't use the free pass. Its 300 yen.

The black building is the haunted house.

Spin Dinky

Its the same ride as RockingTug. It goes back and forth. Theres no thrill and its so small.

Summer Land Lodge

It was a only hotel in Summer land but it closed a few years ago.

Pool Area

I introduced the amusement park area(Thrill mountain) but the main facility of summer land is the pool. There's many kinds of pools and water sliders. There's an indoor pool and an outdoor pool.

DEKASLA

This is the most popular attraction In Tokyo Summer Land. It opened in 2013 and it was the first type in Japan. From the top you will slide then you will get in a big funnel from the hight of 19m. The diameter of the funnel is 24m. Before you go into the funnel there's a big drop and its the most thrilling part of the DEKASLA

Towers Rock

There's 2 types of sliders on this tower. One is called the Back Drops and like the pictures below the most exciting point is the 70˚ angle slope. The other one is called the Cobra twister. You will get in a big hole. The with of the hole is 12m.
